Prepress 101: Print Production Basics
Getting a file through a printing plant is a rigorous process. When things go wrong, they go wrong quickly, and recovery can be expensive and time-consuming. We’ll learn to navigate the difference between gray areas of printing specs and what needs to be 100% correct. Learn what makes a proper print file and which aspects are more important than others. Every designer will make some mistakes. Find out what the top mistakes are and how to quickly fix them. Discover tactics and workflows that aid in communicating with people before and after the Prepress Stage. Be a “Preflight” Star. Preflight with Acrobat in less than 90 seconds! This session will cover the basics of preflighting — reviewing your completed job files to identify potential problems before they are sent to press, in a timely and efficient way.
